History

What inspired you to become an endodontist? I pursued endodontics because I wanted the skills and expertise to relieve pain while giving patients the opportunity to keep their natural teeth. Tooth loss is not always inevitable, and many teeth that appear hopeless can be successfully treated and restored. One of the most rewarding moments in my profession is telling a patient that their tooth can, in fact, be saved. Helping patients avoid unnecessary extractions and preserve their natural dentition is at the heart of everything we do.

What is the most rewarding part of practicing as an endodontist? One of the most rewarding moments in endodontics is seeing significant healing at a follow-up visit. Watching an infection resolve is a powerful reminder of the body's remarkable ability to heal. It reinforces the effectiveness of modern endodontic therapy and the value of preserving a patient's natural tooth whenever possible.

Why did you choose Westhampton for your location? The east end of Long Island has long been underserved when it comes to specialty endodontic care. Many patients have had to travel more than an hour to see an endodontist. I established evolve endodontics to help meet this need by bringing advanced specialty care closer to home. Conveniently located just outside the South Fork, our practice is easily accessible to patients from both the North and South Forks, as well as central Long Island.

How do you hope to impact Westhampton? My goal is to become a trusted resource for dentists and patients throughout Long Island. I strive to build lasting relationships with my referring doctors by providing exceptional care, clear communication, and treating every patient as if they were a member of my own family. I want to be the specialist my colleagues can confidently trust with their patients, knowing they will receive compassionate, evidence-based care and be returned to their office with the highest standard of treatment.

Mission

What procedures do you specialize in? At evolve endodontics, we specialize in root canal therapy, root canal retreatment, and endodontic microsurgery (apicoectomy). Whether treating a new infection, retreating a previously treated tooth, or performing microsurgery to preserve a tooth that cannot be managed with conventional treatment alone, our goal is always the same—to relieve pain, eliminate infection, and preserve your natural tooth whenever possible. Using advanced technology, evidence-based techniques, and specialty training, we provide precise, predictable care tailored to each patient's needs.

What does the name "evolve endodontics" represent? Endodontics has advanced significantly over the last few decades, and our practice was built with those innovations at its core. We believe patients deserve the benefits of modern dentistry, which is why we invest in state-of-the-art technology, advanced diagnostics, and contemporary treatment techniques. Our goal is to provide the highest quality endodontic care with greater precision, efficiency, and comfort than ever before.

Describe your vision for the practice in one paragraph. At evolve endodontics, we embrace a technology-driven approach that allows us to diagnose with greater confidence, treat with heightened accuracy, and manage cases with improved predictability. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, including dental operating microscopes and CBCT Imaging, we can achieve exceptional visualization of complex root canal anatomy, enabling meticulous cleaning, shaping, and treatment—even in the most challenging cases. The combination of advanced imaging and microscopic precision leads to better outcomes, fewer complications, and higher long-term success rates—all while maintaining our patient-centered focus on comfort and the preservation of natural teeth.

Philosophy

What is your philosophy when treating patients? A proper diagnosis is the foundation of exceptional endodontic care. Before recommending any treatment, I perform a thorough evaluation using specialized endodontic testing and, when appropriate, advanced 3D CBCT imaging. The answer is not always as simple as, "You need a root canal." Tooth pain can have many causes, and every case deserves careful investigation. My goal is to identify the true source of the problem and recommend the treatment that is most appropriate for your tooth, giving it the best opportunity for long-term success.

What values guide every decision inside your practice? I believe that every patient deserves an honest, individualized discussion about their treatment options. My role is to present all appropriate options, explain the benefits, risks, and realistic long-term prognosis of each, and help patients make an informed decision that aligns with their goals. While my specialty is saving natural teeth, I would never recommend root canal treatment if I believe the long-term outlook is unfavorable. In some cases, extraction is the better option, and I refer patients for extractions whenever I believe it is in their best interest. My commitment is not simply to perform root canals—it is to recommend the treatment that offers each patient the greatest chance for long-term oral health.

How do you want patients to feel after leaving your office? One of the most common things I hear after treatment is, "That wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be." Root canals have carried an unfair reputation for generations, largely because many people remember stories—or personal experiences—from a time before modern local anesthetics and contemporary techniques. Today, with profound anesthesia and advanced technology, root canal treatment is typically no more uncomfortable than having a routine filling. My goal is to ensure every patient is comfortable throughout the procedure while relieving the pain that brought them to our office in the first place.

If someone could describe your practice in only three words, what would you hope they say? Clean. Calm. Comfortable. These are the feelings we want every patient to experience from the moment they walk through our doors. We have thoughtfully designed our office to feel more like a spa than a dental practice, creating a relaxing environment that helps ease anxiety. While no one looks forward to needing a root canal, our goal is to make your visit as stress-free and comfortable as possible.

Technology

Why should a referring dentist choose evolve endodontics? Our referring doctors share our commitment to providing the highest standard of care for their patients. Modern endodontics combines advanced training with technologies such as 3D CBCT imaging and the dental operating microscope to improve diagnostic accuracy, treatment precision, and clinical outcomes. By utilizing these innovations and evidence-based techniques, we strive to give every tooth the greatest opportunity for long-term success.

What technology have you invested in?  What advantages does this technology create for patients? Two of the most important investments we have made at evolve endodontics are our 3D CBCT scanner and our dental operating microscope. These technologies have transformed the way endodontic treatment is diagnosed and performed. CBCT imaging provides a three-dimensional view of the tooth and surrounding anatomy, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. The dental operating microscope offers enhanced magnification and illumination, enabling treatment to be performed with exceptional precision. Together, these technologies help us deliver safer, more predictable care while giving each tooth the greatest opportunity for long-term success.

Patient Experience

What makes your patient experience different? What makes your office different from other endodontic offices? At evolve endodontics, we believe that the patient experience is just as important as the treatment itself. While no one looks forward to needing a root canal, we believe the experience shouldn't add to that stress. From the moment you walk through our doors, our goal is for you to feel calm, comfortable, and cared for. Every aspect of our office was intentionally designed to create a spa-like atmosphere rather than the feel of a traditional dental practice. From our modern design and relaxing environment to our compassionate team and gentle approach, we strive to reduce anxiety and help you feel at ease throughout your visit. Combined with profound local anesthesia and modern technology, our goal is to make your treatment as comfortable and stress-free as possible. We can't promise you'll enjoy needing a root canal—but we can promise to make your experience far better than you ever expected.

Walk us through the experience from the moment a patient walks in. From the moment patients arrive, they are welcomed into a spacious reception area with high ceilings, abundant natural light, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Soft lounge music plays throughout the office, helping to create a sense of calm from the very beginning. Comfortable sofas and thoughtfully selected furnishings give the space the feel of a modern living room rather than a traditional dental waiting room. Every detail was intentionally designed to help patients relax, feel at home, and begin their visit with a sense of ease.

How do you help patients overcome anxiety? In addition to the soothing music and relaxing atmosphere throughout the office, we also offer nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for patients who may benefit from an extra level of relaxation. Our goal is to help every patient feel comfortable, at ease, and confident throughout their visit.

What is one misconception people have about root canals? One of the biggest misconceptions about root canals is that they are painful. With modern techniques and profound local anesthesia, root canal therapy is a comfortable procedure for the vast majority of patients. In fact, once the tooth is completely numb, most patients find the experience to be very similar to having a routine filling.

What do patients most commonly thank you for? We understand that many patients arrive feeling anxious, and we believe they deserve compassion, patience, and understanding. Every patient is different, and we take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and move at a pace that makes you feel comfortable. Our goal is to create a supportive environment where you feel informed, respected, and at ease throughout your visit.
